I have a Nikon D3100. What lens is best for taking pictures indoors?
I'm thinking of two: – Nikkor 35 mm 1.4 AF-S – Nikkor 50mm 1.8 AF-S, but prefers to take stunning portraits indoors? The 50 mm costs about twice as much as 35 mm.
Both are good lenses. With a 35mm lens, which should be pretty close to your subject for portraits. Some get a little uncomfortable with having a camera so close to them. As for prices, I'm not sure that you buy but the AF-S 35mm f/1.4 is much more than the 50mm f/1.8 AF-S 50mm 1.8 Taking good photos. I'm sure it would be happy with it. If you do a lot of pictures, low light, 50 mm f / 1.4 works great for that. But the 1.4 costs more than 1.8.
