nikkor 55-200 VR: Is this good for photography in general?
What are the strengths? "I can use it to close as or am I better macro photography with a macro lens? Thanks PS I have only 18-135mm lens, so I'm thinking that the 55-200 is a more practical option (A broader, more flexible) through a macro lens, even if I want to venture a little more macro photography
For close-ups extremes is better with a 105, lower f-stop, VR micro. I've heard about the Nikkor 55-200 VR is one of the best focuses on the market. Above par. Yesterday Sigma, Tokina, Canon, so jealous.
You have a good lens all in his hands, the 55-200 can not make that much difference. If you want more zoom, you should look into Nikkor 70-300, 80-400, etc. If you want macro, go for the VR 105-f-2.8.
