Broke my Nikon lens (18-55mm) What should I buy? I need help!?
I went to Wolf Camera and more objective than going for $ 200. I have no money now, but I need help figuring out what is the best lens you can buy and improve at the same time. I keep seeing this Nikon 55-200mm f4-5.6G ED AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom (Black) but I think it is a zoom lens! Please help … I want to be able to be able to bring a bit more than I did with my previous lens. I have a Nikon D40 thanks for your time
You can replace the kit lens for around $ 109, is on a tight budget this is your best bet. If http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-18-55mm-3-5-5-6G-AF-S -Nikkor/dp/B000LWJ1ES/ref = Sr_1_3? ie = UTF8 & s = electronics and qid = 1261985361 & SR = 8.3 If I were you, I'd get the 35mm lens f1.8. It has no zoom, but has a perfect focal length, and it is fantastic, even in complex lighting situations. It runs about $ 200 http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-35mm-AF-S-Digital-Cameras/dp/B001S2PPT0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261985445&sr=8-1 You could achieve the objective 55.200mm, but you can find 55 mm to be too wide for much of its filming. It is also a slow lens. which means that no left to light much. Currently I have a D60 with 35 mm lens that I just described and the 55-200 mm lens. I can use the lens of 35 mm about 99% of the time, but the goal and sometimes comes in handy.
