Uploading images from Nikon Coolpix?

For some reason my Nikon Coolpix not write images stored in the memory card to your computer. The camera is connected to the computer with the AV cable that came with it. However, no files are arriving as expected on my screen. Any help? PS The computer is a Mac

If your computer has slots for memory cards, find the correct slot and moving images from the memory card to your computer. If no memory card slots on your computer, buy a USB memory card reader (Targus $ 8.88 at Walmart) or another brand at the Ritz / Wolf / Camera Kit stores work equally well and cost a little less. After pluged memory card, go to My Computer and open the memory card, select the images you want to move, and then copy in the My Pictures folder of My Documents Documents and Settings. Only one can be able to move one frame at a time. If you have problems with this copy, can be Easy right-click Start and then left click Explore. Find and select the images you want to copy and then at the top left click the X next to the folders to see a place to choose the backup files. Now select the My Pictures folder and click Copy. You can select a lot Photo by this method. CAUTION To prevent data loss and corruption, memory card, wait until the lights stop blinking then turn off the camera before removing the memory.
