My nikkor lens on my D80 camera won’t auto focus.?
haven’t used the lens in about a year, but it worked when i put it away.Tried it on my new D700 and it would not work.Other auto focus lens work fine on both cameras.Thank you
its a nikkor 18 to 135
First check to see if the lens has a focus switch on it and make sure its set to AF if it does. Second look up the lens, it might not be compatible with the D700. If both of these check out the try cleaning the signal contacts on the lens, they may not be clean. It is also possible that the AF motor is blown.
