Camera Nikon D70 or D40x backup?

I got a brand new Nikon D300 (18-200mm) today in exchange for one of my old cameras. (I know … crazy deal). Trying to decide which one I should delete and why … Anyone have any ideas? Both D70 and D40x are in excellent condition. As a bonus, The D40x has an extended warranty on it. I know I probably should keep the D40x but for some reason I'm having a hard time separating with the D70.

The D70 is a good camera, but it is also noisy. Compare images between the D40x and the D70 and D40x only, not be 10MP, but will have sharper images. The only reason to keep the D70: it has a focusing lens built-in motor that allows it to be used with more lenses. If you have goals without an integrated approach to motor (AF-S lenses-not), then that's a good argument for the D70 as a backup. Otherwise, I'd get rid of the D70, the D40x is better image processing. The youngest of other differences, such as two wheel controls with control wheel, I can live with a backup. I have a number of cameras and D70 is my least favorite. I finally got that makes infrared photography. Actually preferred the D50 to D70. I think if you take a couple of pictures you'll find D40x to have better picture quality than the D70.
