Another question ….. Which DSLR should I buy?
I'm looking for in a digital SLR camera. I am willing to spend about $ 1,000 at this time. Does not include lens. But I'd really like some opinions on what I need in a camera. I use this camera for wildlife photography. Birds, horses, dogs, cats, etc.. I also like to photograph people. Maybe do some MACRO. But mostly I would be using it for shots of action animals. My dream would be the camera the Nikon D300. But it is a bit out of my price range. It has 51 AF points. This is one of the main reasons I think it's a much better camera than the Canon 50d 40. But my question is, do we really need those AF points? I think it would be useful, particularly because I I am a beginner, but as I said, that the camera is out of my price range. Which could change depending on what it considers necessary for me. Therefore, would be best for what I do? The Canon 50D (or 40) or the Nikon D300? If you have any other camera recommendations, I'll gladly read them! 
If your dream camera is the Nikon D300, the purchase of a Canon just put it even further.
