Canon 7D, Nikon D300s or Canon 40D, which is better for the pictures im planning to take?
I'm a novice photographer with plans to create a publication in the coming months. To make a long story short, especially my photos are action shots (political events, civil unrest, crime), with little light (night clubs, damp), and type of portrait shots (mostly women and couples). The only thing I'm missing out on a digital SLR camera correct, so I can finally discard grab my camera I have now. What would be the best for these shots? A new Canon 7D a Nikon D300s, or should the value of my money to get the second hand Canon 40D? Any other suggestions for this type of publication would be greatly appreciated, thank you all "
The Canon 7D be responsible for all that, well, in my opinion. Similarly, the Nikon D300s, for that matter. Both are very fast (6 + frames per second, fast implementation, without delay), not good with high ISO (1600-6400), both equal in terms of processing and output capablility. The 40D is so old that the only reason I guess that consideration is price – in which case I'll just note that it is best to buy a digital camera (DSLR or otherwise) when it is still new, keep for as long as you want, but get it while it is new. So to answer your last question, no, not worth it to pick up any second chamber hand if you can avoid it. In other words, if you have the money, get the camera better. Both the D300s and 7D are more than $ 1,500 only, no glasses, both new (but not only new, like really new). A 40D cost $ 500 maybe you want to find one on craigslist. And I have to assume I've got the money, either for or D300s 7D, otherwise would not have made the question, so I'm obliged to suggest that it takes into account the 40D at all (I'd suggest even a 40D over a 50D, but I'm not). So that want to make a publication especially for street photography, photojournalism, and the like, their need for resolution is not as great as you may think. The IMO, the D300s 12 mp is enough, and basically everything else about the camera. But as a Nikon shooter, I'm really in conflict, to admit that 7D canon is really nice. The high resolution and low noise, says a lot about what Canon is doing with his lineup, and if you did not already have a substantial investment in nikon through the lens, I really consider getting one. Its movie mode is far superior to the Nikon settings, that will be useful for the part of photojournalism of what you are doing – another reason to consider the canon. I would say, if you do not have an investment in any brand, choose the one you like best – which means you need to leave and go to a camera store and try both cameras in hand. Both have a fairly steep learning curve if you are that are not familiar with the use of a camera (do not know is the case or not, in view of your data), and is something for you to consider. When you start, send me a link. Always I'm a fan of a good magazine with good pictures and good writing. Sounds like a good idea.
