Nikon has a professional line of lenses like Canon has the L-lenses?
I have not seen anything about the professional line of lenses for Nikon. I did not know if anything like L-series lenses. What do your friends who own Nikon and Canon?
Nikon did not label their pro pro lenses such as lenses. Nikon are almost all its f / 1.4 (and low) primes, and zooms constant f/2.8. With fixed focal length lenses, the 85mm f/1.4 is a portrait lens fantastic. With the zoom, the Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8 lens is the best scenery of any brand. The Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 is a great choice for journalism. The 70-200mm f/2.8 and 200-400mm f / 4 are excellent for sports and wildlife. The 500mm f / 4 is even better and have a lot of other options. As expected, all these lenses cost over $ 1,000. I personally use a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 and the build quality, AF speed, and only keeping me incredible image quality. PD: The 'coating ED' is not reserved for Nikon lenses. Even the goal of economic 18-55mm kit for the D40 is an ED lens.
