I am new to the DSLR world. I bought the kit lens and EF-S T1i 55-250 Lens (Amazon.com was a lens really good special offer). I have read many reviews and comments from a lot of digital SLR cameras at the primary level. The final decision was between the Canon Rebel and Canon Rebel XSi T1i. I think both of these cameras are a really good job. I think that the upgrade processor (DIGIC 4), Clear LCD (920k), and video mode for it to spend $ 150-200 more, how I can get EF-S 55-250 for $ 40 (for which saved $ 200.)

I've been a loyal customer of Canon, and that came with the AE-1. If my T1i two weeks he took down to see the shuttle Atlantis takes off. I love it!
I wanted a digital SLR camera for several years. After months of research, I chose the T1i and I'm glad I did. I suggest adding a battery grip that gives you extra battery time and makes the T1i feel better in their hands. (The handle to the camera itself is small and can be uncomfortable) A class 6 card memory is a good idea if you will be recording video.

Canon body using Nikon lenses
It will not initiate a Nikon vs. Canon debate, I used Nikon since years ago and I loved it! Takes a bit older Nikon lenses and wanted to get the D5000. My old lens does not fit, so I had to get the D90. He looked at the prices and made a lot of homework and was very impressed with the features of the stellar reviews T1i and did not hurt either.I found an adapter, and to my surprise Fotodiox all my elders worked on the Canon glass! The image in comparison with Nikon is a bit more on the red side and the photos are a little brighter, too SQF close call. There is nothing wrong, just a little different. Kit lens 18-55 3.5 to 6.5 is quite good, but when the figure of $ 700-725 and 90-D was $ 950-1000 a piece of cake! Also just adjust the settings to your liking and you'll love this camera. The real kicker was the video, I really do not want any video, but it was a pleasant surprise. The 24fps or 25fps 1080 was a volatile, because I read about 720 at 30 fps so good! very, very clear and looked good. I also want to commend Amazon, no taxes! Do going to buy it at Sam's Club, won $ 125 in gift cards for x-mas, the same price but when I phoned the tax was like $ 80-90 more. I live in California. The live display 920.000, Wow. looks great even in bright sunlight. Comes with good software and processing DPP if you shoot raw great works. High J-PEG is fine too. One of the things, get a Class 6 SDHC card. If not then probably a bad video image and the card is filled fast.Overall, very, very happy with this camera, the Nikon glass, the best of both worlds! Still use my older Nikon camera as well.
