Nikon D5000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!? help
0k s0 as today I'm going to the beach with my new D5000 to take pictures sum. I go home and I clean the lens because I thought that there was sand in the lens. so I've read this site or you can use soap with a cotton cloth to clean the lens, but friendly and cirucle movements go and I like what I did and has not realized that the soap had been stupid with pumice stone and now there are scratches all over the lens. I have the Nikkor 70-300mm if that helps any. Cuse I am so angry right now this is like the 2nd time I go I use to have a D700. I tried cd scratch remover, toothpaste, peaunut cream but it didn't work. also the color of my lens is very werid now, what used to be a certain color and I noticed green stuff on my cloth ????? plz help you know what I wuz so stupid not isults plz lol! Does my warranty cover this?
Your warranty does not cover this. Their warranty only covers defects factory (errors from the factory). For example, if your work is not when you received lens Nikon camera and did everything they recommended in fixing the problem, your warranty covers it. Another example, you get the lens and the lens does not turn on after removing it from the box, the warranty only covers that. Not cover accidental damage, personal injury, or any other damage than the factories. If you open the lens, which will void the warranty, also if you mix eating, microwave, playing football with the lens, or drop, their warranty is void. Wow, that's sad that this has happened to his Nikon D700 and Nikon D5000 now ????? Bad luck is not it? That will be very expensive repair for fixed lenses. First do not use normal soap to clean lenses. You need a special role lens cleaning liquid because there is a coating on the lenses for anti-glare when taking pictures and the sun is out. That green thing said, it could be otherwise, but there is a good possibility could be the anti-glare shield. Personally, I think the coating is on the other side of the lens. Pumice rocks really any damage to your target. It just might be better to get another goal in the long run due to repairs in which you are only going to be very expensive, only the better off getting a new target. So just remember the next time you clean the lens, do not use soap, only cleaning the objective lens and the liquid special cleaning paper. Cd scratch remover will not help, toothpaste also will not work. In fact, you may have made the problem worse by doing that. You can be able to get a refurbished Nikon objective. This is a good deal for the lens http://www.labellecameras.com/products.cfm/PhotoAccessories/Lenses-for-Cameras/Autofocus-SLR-Zoom-Lenses/Nikon–70-3004-56-G- AFD Zoom-Nikkor Lens-16721.html? GBAS = 1
