Which is better, the Nikon coolpix 4100 or the coolpix S200?
A couple of years ago I bought the Nikon coolpix 4100. I needed to take quality pictures and since I couldn’t afford a digital SLR camera (to replace my good film camera), I decided to buy the Nikon coolpix 4100. I have been satisfied with it (I know it’s not the same as an SLR). The only thing I don’t like is its size. I needed a camera to carry with me when I am with my friends (to take those simple pictures when you are socializing) so I decided to buy one of those little ones point and shoot cameras regardless the quality. So I bought the Nikon Coolpix S200. My plan was to keep my previous Nikon coolpix 4100 to use it when I needed high quality photos and use the little one for socializing. After comparing the pixels I was surprised when I saw the the coolpix S200 can take pictures up to 3,072 x 2,304 when the coopix 4100 can only take up to 2,288 x 1,712. So is the little one better than the bulky one? (and yes, I will sometimes need those pixels to enlarge photos)
Nobody can answer this question better than you can. You own both cameras, so you are in the position to do your own side-by-side comparison. Just do it and come back and you tell US which is better. I’d suspect that the newer camera with the newer softare and more pixels would be the better of the two, so without seeing anything, I’d vote for the S200.
