Canon 7D or nikon d7000?
I have a Canon XS at the moment, and 3 beginner lenses. I have been comparing the 2 cameras and the Nikon seems better in every way, except for the lower fps. You can AF in video mode, it has 39-AF points, a dual-SD card slot and is less money. Also Nikkor lenses are very sturdy.
It seems like the obvious thing to do would be to get the D7000, but I already have all the Canon gear. I honestly wouldn’t mind selling all my lenses, because they’re all available from Nikon, too. Thoughts?
I guess many persons have already give you the (correct) advice. IMHO selling the XS and lenses and moving to Nikon may not be a bad choice but you need to think carefully since it will obviously be costly.
Have you considered switching to Full frame? Nikon may release a D700 replacement next year which may have D3s’s sensor.
Note: I don’t shoot with a full frame so you should consult the photographers who do. I brought this point because a friend of mine switched from Canon to Nikon because he wanted to have a full frame camera and he wasn’t interested in 5D mkII. He hasn’t sold his Canon though and uses that as a backup.
