Lenses on coolpix p7000? On powershot g12?
Problem: I don’t want a DSLR as it is too heavy and bulky. But I still have two good lenses, a Tamron 90mm macro lens and a Nikkor AF-S 18-200 DX lens.
1) What do I need to buy in order to be able to put one or both of these lenses on a p7000 OR a G12?
2) What features will be hurt or disabled because of this?
3) Is it worth it? Or is there a reasonably cheap, light, small DSLR that can accept these lenses?
I am sub-amateur when it comes to cameras, so please use easy to understand language.
The P7000 and G12 do not use removable lenses; they are essentially point and shoots with more features and controls.
However, with a camera like the Sony NEX-5, or the Olympus PEN E-PL1, you can get adapters and then use your lenses on them, and they’re a lot smaller than most DSLRs.
