Is there a hardware button combination to RESET the Nikon Coolpix P7000? What is it?
Some functions in my camera are not working – like the left control dial. I just wanted to try out this hard reset before I take it to Nikon. The RESET through the menu does not have any effect in my case.
So I’m assuming you’re telling us that you’ve read your owner’s manual and you already know how to reset to factory settings, is that correct?
Have you tried to update your firmware? This kind of update can have that effect – that’s why I always recommend updates on firmware.
If you’ve done everything by the book then yes, get in touch with Nikon. If the camera is under warranty they’ll repair at no cost. If it’s not it’s going to cost you but with this camera it’s probably worth the expense.
