What camera is better? Is sony or Nikon a better brand?
I want to buy a nice digital camera, I am just getting started in photography as hobby. I have checked out and liked the Sony cyber shot 9 megapixel and Nikon Coolpix P80 10 megapixel.
They both seem alot alike, in price also. Does anybody own one of these cameras or have a review? Or what is your take on Sony verses Nikon?
I would personally choose the Nikon over the Sony. Nikon is a camera maker – they make cameras and they do it well. Sony is a big electronics company – they make everything and do it all ok I guess.
My biggest complaint with Sony is that they force you to use their Memory Stick type of memory. These are expensive and no other brand uses them so if you get another camera you won’t be able to use it. I think that’s very cheap of them and I recommend people avoid them because of it.
