What would be a good camera to get?
I currently have a fujifilm finepix Z5 and I’ve had it for 2 or 3 years and I love it but I want a new one for my birthday and I was considering getting this one http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Digital-Camera/26134/COOLPIX-S60.html but I also wanted to know other good cameras to compare please give suggestions.
If you are serious about becomeing a more advanced photographer in the future I would strongly consider taking that same $300 + another $100. and buy the Nikon D-40x. It offers the same number of megapixels (10 MP) as the one you were looking at, but it’s a much better Nikon. You can get it on e-bay (Buy it Now) for around $400. (including the 18-55mmm zoom lens.) plus shipping.
All of these Nikon’s can be found at Best Buy or Amazon dot com for a very low price.
These selections are probably the best choices for any beginner to intermediate skill level, offering the most lenses and other accessories, dealers and places to purchase.
I strongly recommend that ALL beginners buy a good book on digital photography AND take a class or two from a Vocational school or Community Education Center in your area.
