Accessories for Nikon D40?
So finally I decided to go for the Nikon D40. But I'm having a little trouble getting the appropriate lens for this … any suggestions? And is it worth buying the kit with 18-55mm? I need a decent lens for sports photography. In addition, ebay seems the best option cheap – anywhere else I can get the lot for a good price? And what other accessories are needed? This is my first SLR.
The 18-55mm is a core goal Good start, but as you progress, you will have other objectives. EBay may be cheap, but it is the safest option. I use pricegrabber.com and usually found http://www.buydig.com that is the best place for prices, but sometimes other places, like Amazon.com are good too. If you have money: the best 70-200mm lens sports AF-S VR f/2.8. Other accessories to consider: SB-800 flash. AA rechargeable batteries. Larger memory cards. A monopod / tripod.
