What is the difference between the nikon d40x and D200?
What is the difference between the Nikon D40x and D200. I was planning on buying the D200, but it seems that the D40x is cheaper than the D200. I just want to know why?
Since you are asking this question is more appropriate for the D40X. The D200 is a professional machine, which has a metallic structure, body much more control over image parameters, external controls, and gets rid of silly scene modes. The D40 is aimed at point and shoot user who want to upgrade to a DSLR and yet maintain the same ease of use. The main thing D200 makes the most expensive are the characteristics and control receives as well as the body. The D40 is plastic, and has less control, fewer, buttons, and no wireless with the flash. Actually, it is the sum of many little things that add up. For example, the D200 can use the ISO makes rare like ISO 250, were the jumps D40X 200 to 400. The D200 has much more control over image parameters.
