Camera Lens Advice needed!?
I am looking to buy a Nikon D60 and the Jessops website there are two options. One comes with an AF-S DX VR Nikkor 18-55mm, and the price of the kit is £ 349.99 and the other comes with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G and this is £ 319.99-" anyone can advise me what this means and what is the difference between these two lenses? Recently I've been developing my interest in photography and I'd take to the next level so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
The difference is in virtual reality. VR stands for vibration reduction and the goal of more expensive kit has this feature. Helps reduce vibration by moving a lens element. It gives an advantage of 2-3 stops. This is a very useful feature when making long shots occasion, for the panoramic and close the hand. The price difference is very small when you think of the advantage you get with VR.
