Does just the body of the SLR take pictures?
so i want to buy an SLR camera on Ebay. i dont have SOOO much money to spend. but i found a Nikon D70 for like 100 bucks. i was all excited and ready to buy it but then i realized it said “Nikon D70 body”. so i was like oh so i need to buy a lense. but even if its just the “body” could it still take pictures? i am soo confused. please help. thanks!
Indeed you need body and lens as a complete system. I would advise against a fixed 50mm unless you only want to take portraits – it’s a comparatively narrow angle of view. For versatility look at a 18 to 55mm or similar, If you really don’t know much about buying a camera, perhaps go to a camera shop and get advice – the camera might be a little more expensive but at least you will exit the shop knowng that you have an outfit that works, because you will have seen it working in the shop.
