Photography Tips for party?
I have to take pictures at a birthday party tonight. I use a Nikon D70, AF-S DX 18-70 mm lens (lens) and I have also a telephoto lens (which probably is not used here). I have not seen the place, but I know that is inside a restaurant. Any advice on how to take pictures and to avoid "hard-faced, black background" look that often comes with the use of flash? I would like specific advice, please, for example, instead of "shutter speed" some numbers would be good.
You are better off ending unti with external flash (one that plugs into the shoe. The native flash is in a funny angle. crops under the long end of your lens, so it can support a little further. This is the only time I suggest making backups. Make sure that tables are not covered with dirty dishes. Have fun.
