which lens should i get?
i am looking to buy a Nikon D80, and am not sure which lens to buy along with it…. ive heard the nikkor 18-200mm is a good lens.
i wand something with a very versatile zoom range, so i only have to carry around one lens… any other suggestions?
pricewise i would like to spend less than $900, $1000 tops.

Without a doubt, go with the 18-200 Nikkor lens for the D80. Nikon is offering that lens at an incredible deal compared to what you would pay for similar quality elsewhere. Best option is to get the camera as part of a starter kit with that lens instead of the 18-50. The kit will cost you about $1199 if not on sale. Of course the lens alone will be much less. Be sure to put a clear UV filter on the lense to protect it from scratches.
