D5000 vs Nikon Nikon D90, the camera that gives you the best "bang for the buck"?
We are looking at these two cameras to photograph portraits and sporting events. We are receiving comments found on which is better. Does the camera body makes the difference, or is it all on the lens? We novice photographers who are expecting to get much more involved and want to buy the right camera for our needs. All other brands along with its rationale are appreciated as well.
Based solely on image quality alone, the D5000 gains in terms of value. Both D5000, D90, and share sensor D300s identical images, which means that basically, get the quality of the image in a smaller D300s, the body a little less well equipped. In terms of features, the main advantage that the D90 offers over the D5000 will probably not affect most beginners just starting out in photography. If you want a speed faster, easier access to white balance, ISO and exposure settings, a preview of the depth field, and compatibility with non-AF lenses AFS, then the D90 is the camera for you. lenses are certainly important as well. In fact, is better buying a cheaper body and professional quality lenses in it, that buying a flagship DSLR lenses equipped with budgets. If you are going for the D90, do not forget to budget for some quality lenses good too! Of all However, hopes this helps. Have fun and good luck!
