I'm looking to upgrade my camera?
I had the Sony A200 for a while and I'm about to reach its limits. I think it is aging and dying on me. I'm a senior in college and I'm starting to go semi-pro. I do concerts / family portraits and a lot of fashion / editorial material for fun. Is the Nikon D90 gives me everything I'm looking for? Also I have my eye on the Canon 50D. Ideally I would like the 7D, because the video mode is really appealing to me, rather than having complete control over it compared to the video mode on the D90. Even though my birthday is coming up and I believe that neither the d90/50d is what you can afford luxury (in combination with my parents.) A part of me says wait for the 7D. Help me:) my problems: low ISO performance and I think what I meant was my camera has been through some difficult times beach / etc sometimes rain does not respond right idk I feel like he's not doing what I tell you that if that makes any sense
First you have to tell us what the current camera can not do that you need. The only downfall I know for the A200's high ISO performance (concerts) so if you absolutely need a better performance in low light, go through 7D, is spectacular. If you're okay with ISO performance, there is little or no difference between the A200 / 50D / D90. Investing in the objectives and lighting. The A200 is rated at 100,000 shutter action, and if treated well, you can easily see double. SLR no digital "age and die" just stop working one day.
