What is the proper setting apperture if I use my 55mm Nikora father earlier in my new Nikon D90?

I have a new Nikon D90 kit, and I wonder if I could use my father's old 55mm f/1.4 Nikkor (which still has a ring apperture adjustment or what you would call it) 1. If I'm going to use, then how apperture I can adjust the size? was adjusted for the lens? or camera? 2. If I have to put something in a specific environment, what would it be? (That is, if apperture size on the ultimate goal that I set on the camera) I'm really a novice in these things. I'm not even sure how to resize apperture a digital SLR. XD I'm sure I've said a lot of things inccorect. Please help me on this? : D thanks!

Search Canyon and if AI works in manual mode, but no meter to use the sun or a rule of standing only 16 meters. AI lenses are lens standard as non-CPU AI-P there are some who have contacts the CPU. I have worn glasses for us both my D40 and D300. Pre-AI lenses can cause problems with the D90. Pre-AI lenses are questionable as some say in the D80 and D90 breaking switch opening minutes because (unlike the D40/40x/60) switch does not press it moves throughout the year. I do not know persoanally side of the argument is correct, but I'd be careful with pre AI lenses. This is what is said in them (pre-Ai lenses or even mount on any digital slr nikon d60 higher than without Ai conversion specifications (such a conversion is performed exclusively by third parties since 1991, when suspended Nikon Ai conversion program). This is because all digital Nikon D60 above (including higher as Nikon D50, D70, D70s, D100, D200, D1 series D2 series as well as models recent developments such as the D80, D90, D300, D700 and D3 of the series) has a locking lever minimum detector can be easily damaged by a lens without changing pre-Ai, and D200, D300, D700, serial number D1, D2 and D3 series also Ai meter coupling lever and the ring can also be damaged by a lens without changing pre-Hai. The D40, D40 and D60 do not have levers that protrude from their lens mounts, pre-Ai lenses can be mounted without modification (subject to limitations on the use of non-CPU lens otherwise) with the Sunny RULE 16 Gauge your light to the Sunny 16 Rule to work, you first need a sunny day. The rule can also work with other types of lighting situations such as cloudy and overcast – a look at the next list of them. Set Your take F-Number Set-i the number of f/16. If you do not have the intense sunlight, use the following list to determine the starting number f. Set the shutter speed Note the ISO or film speed (call it "X"). Now set the shutter speed of 1 / X. So at ISO 400, you should use a shutter speed of 1 / 400 seconds. With mutual adjustment may want to use different shutter speeds or numbers f. You can set one, provided that the other is modified accordingly. The opening of a full number required f Shutter speed cut in half (and vice versa).
