What should I look when I am buying a flash for my Nikon D40?
I'm watching the series SB 400 and 600, but I'm only an amateur and was thinking in Vivitar brand and gazebo. I'm not even that knowledgeable about using a flash but then, what I look for? What is i-TTL vs TTL and should receive? What are some other things to look for when i buy my flash? I'd really like to go with a cheaper brands beginning.
Forget of the cheaper brands. Rather, buy a good used Nikon dedicated flash like the SB400 or SB600 Unless you really need an external flash, spend money on third or second lens and learn to shoot with available light. be an amateur "is no excuse.
