How I can become a professional photographer?

I have 17 years and living in the UK and has a passion for photography. I have a Nikon D300 and several lenses (17-55mm 2.8, 4-5.6 55-200mm, 50mm 1.8) and SB-800 (going to buy a SB-600 soon) stands and umbrellas. I am currently still in a sixth study of the history, government and politics and photography. There is really no way to photograph what I want to go and wondered if the university would help or not I, with thousands of pounds of (nonsense?) of debt. Are there many are learning in school, etc. ..? Is it hard to get a job, I read about the photographer many do on the side of not daily work? Would you pay? Check out my flickr and tell me what you think thanks http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexfinlay/ all for the advice …. I will not choose the best answer yet, as I would keep an open question a bit.

Follow your passion and know your camera well. Discover what you like the photo and go from there. Ask the local photographers in your area if you can study with them in exchange for being able to learn from them, but the study that is in your area and pick up a few photographers whose work resonates with you. All education and the opportunity to learn is good. But today there are courses online, both free and paid, cheap and expensive, and everything else. You do not have to go to college to become a good photographer, but it is necessary to get books in the areas that interest you and read how to perform certain tasks, and practice practice practice, and experiment. Only you can determine what kind of debt you have and what investment you can do without causing problems yourself. You can do an Internet search to find photo forums and photography schools online and local classes in the country you can take. Join forums and ask questions, friends and gain experience in the real world of people in the field through these places. There are plenty of businesses in the world for you. The problem for many photographers of departure is that they do not know how to market or have someone who can market them to attract customers. And nobody teaches them, or if they do they teach in a way that is not efficient or cost effective. You may have the ability and knowledge of the ship and so be one of the best, but if you do not know how to put yourself and your products that are dead in the water. Many photographers are doing business on the side to start, but so do many other entrepreneurs in other businesses. There is nothing wrong with doing both. We all have many talents that we share with the world and not save for us to help make people's lives better. There are no rules that say you must do one or the other. Balance only makes you a better photographer, both in the field and their relationships with customers. Photography can pay very well. It depends on your attitude and willingness to go out there. Can develop well in an economy in crisis. There will always be people who appreciate what they do and are willing to pay the price and many others not affected by any recession. The trick is knowing how to reach them, it's not really a secret at all. So do not let that scare you. Are you working for someone else or start your own business? You can pay very well if the right price and the right market for the right client. If you work for someone else, then only you can determine if the payment is sufficient for their and accounts for the type of lifestyle you want. Hope this helps and good luck!
