dslr cam that is best for me.?

dslr is best for me. I'm new in photography. so pls help me. Nikon D40 nikon d3000 or there is not much difference in costs in the UK. But Ken Rockwell says Nikon D3000 is the worst camera ever made for Nikon. pls help me.
