Nikkor lenses to be removed after 10 years ??!?!?
I just recently read Ken Rockwell's site (http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/24-70mm.htm) that the recycling traingle with the number 10 within the media to be replaced after 10 years. Is this true?! I always thought that meant he was made of composite materials such as plastics and 1.7. Can anyone confirm this …? It would be a waste you know … Thanks in advance! EDIT: sorry, they were recycling circles, triangles, not lenses
Why do you want to throw something that still works? That sounds like a gimmick to buy new things for me. I have a 50mm Nikkor which must be at least 20 years of age. It was bought with a camera for me around my 10th birthday and now I'm 31. Both the camera and lens great job.
