Lens hood?
Hey guys, I bought the Nikkor 18-55mm ED II AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor 55-200mm and the AF-S DX Zoom (to work with the D40x), but not me have umbrellas with them. So I dug around a bit on Amazon and found the Nikon HB-34 Lens Hood for 55-200mm DX Nikkor lens – now my question is whether this good work in each lens hood or I have to buy one for 18-55mm lens? I'm new so I apologize in advance if it is delayed! .. Thanks DSLR question!
A parasol is specific to the lens used. If you use the hood for the 55-200 in the 18-55 target bullets causing all focal lengths below 55 mm. Vignetting means the corners of the image would be dark, because the focal lengths of 55 mm below the lens hood will be on the viewing angle the lens. Keep a UV filter and lens hood designed for the lens. Remove the UV filter only when using the polarizer. Trust me, it will better than a filter cleaning or replacing the cleaning the front element of the lens or lens replacement, as it scratched or stained. Buy high-quality filters – Hoya B + W, Tiffen are all excellent.
