Unable to choose between 2 lenses … but can only afford one! Advice?
The lenses are: 60mm f/2.8 Nikkor Micro (Macro) Nikkor 70-300 f / Originally from 4.5 to 5.6 I was saving for the zoom, because I really want to get into nature photography, but I have always loved one has been interested in macro photography. You can see my flickr stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dani_1591/ but PLEASE refer to the photos over in July or just look at what I consider my favorites: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dani_1591/sets/72157600044138250 / … that will give the best idea of my current "style" – which really have not had much time to the picture or upload photos to Flickr from the start of school, so my most recent files are not a good representation of what I normally do. Anyway really … any advice on what purpose? (Or other similar lens – a different brand, perhaps? That is in my price range, up to $ 550) Thanks in advance =)
If that is the 70-300 VR lens, then I have the two and support them. Obviously, these two very different lenses. You have to decide what you want to shoot and buy accordingly. At least you know what you're saving for next time. The 70-300 is not sharp as the 60mm, but is quite adequate for what is intended. It is not pro- glass, but it costs about 10% of a comparable professional standard lens and the 200-400 VR lens. … Samples of 60 mm: 70 http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/tags/60 -300: Http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/tags/70300
What is in my bag?
