How to get pictures from a Nikon 5700 to a new Gateway laptop?

I just bought a Nikon Coolpix 5700 used. It doesn’t have the usb cord but it has the massive memory card. How do I get my photos from it to my laptop?

Take the memory card out and put in the side of the computer if there is a spot for it.
That is what I do with my 16GB card out of my Nikon D90.

Also, just in case ya didn’t know – all camera’s work with the same USB (it is pretty universal), so you can go out and buy one that does not need to be specifically for your 5700.
