What lens 18-200mm or 24-70mm?
I bought the VR-Nikkor 200mm lens for £ 18 399 (new). I'm dong a lot of street photography and this year I'm getting a lot of the wedding. stocks My question is: Should I sell the 200 mm lens VR-18 (not I have a buyer for £ 399) and buy the Nikkor 2.8 24-70mm lens needed? Can I have more 18-200mm lens or the 24-70mm? I wanted my shot to become bright. Help please! and thanks for your answer in advance.
I have also 18 ~ 200 mm VR Nikon. It is a laudable goal, but slow at times. The 3.5 ~ 5.6 could be better, but .. You have the VR to help, and the ability ISO hitting up a notch or two if needed. Noise, digital noise is less and less these days as high ISO are thinner and able to take pictures. A faster lens offers a good couple of advantages. The picture is brighter in its view finder and that "may" shoot better at lower levels light if the current target .. open! If you stop the lens down – everything .. have defeated the main purpose of a fast lens. Fast lenses are only really useful if used at the maximum aperture opening they have, all the time, and for controlling DOF (depth of field). My 55mm f / 1.2 is a goal to shoot very murderer open, but it's just another lens when stopped down – everything .. If I go 5.6 or 8, now it's just another 55 mm lens. ..? Understand your VR lens offers more – everything – and more – TV – the one and only that, to me it makes more sense. You have more flexibility. Another thing to be thinking .. How many DX lenses you hang about whether and when you go to a full frame .. D-SLR? If you keep your old camera, yes, you have to maintain a DX lens for it, but if you go to a D-700 or more someday, DX lenses will not work too well because of its coverage. As far as "brilliant" shooting range, is that the photographer, the light and everything that understanding the nuances gazillion during exposure to ensure the image is in fact – bright (as in a good clear statement). A quick bright lens does not automatically ensure this. Wedding Is my car for years (like most 25 to 30) back in Michigan in stunning film ….
