Updated DSLR or lens upgrade?
I have a Nikon D50. I bought 2 years ago when I was getting into the hobby. Then came with 18-55mm lens exchange (non-VR) and I bought a Sigma 28-200mm lens. It was cheap ($ 150) and wanted a zoom lens from my trip to Asia. I did not know much about digital SLR at the time. I have also the first Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 is my favorite. I upgrade to a better camera body (D90/D70/D5000) etc or I upgrade my lens? I've always been interested in the lens 18-200mm VR Nikkor. The price is an issue which is the body or the lens at this time. The target is much cheaper than a new body (if I used it on Amazon). I do not fly my photos to 18ft megapixel prints or something so it is not a concern. For the record, I spoke with a guy in a photo shop near my house and told me not to waste time on the D5000 … what is outside. Suggested trying the D70 or D90, and let my budget making the decision. Thoughts?
Nah … be better served with better glass. Grab some fast glass in place. I do not know very well Nikon, but I'm looking for a 70-200 2.8 or 2.8 mi 20-70 to complement my kit lens (18-55mm I have 2 … do not ask), 50 mm f1. 8 and a Sigma 70-300. Something else you might consider, depending on the type of photography is perhaps some lighting or camera flash (if not, no one yet). I just bought an umbrella, stand, umbrella stand. already had two flashes and some poppers cheap flash. Makes for some nice portraits.
