nikkor 2.8 lenses
Which lens would you say is better?

I have a Nikon F3
I’m deciding between these two 35mm lenses.

I read about the Nikkor 35mm f/2 and it said that it had many distortions from light sources. But the other Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 didn’t specify that it had the same problem. Considering how closely alike they are.
These lenses are very similar! and I really need help to decide which one I’m better off with. Performance wise.

There are many experienced photographers who would not put their trust in Ken Rockwell’s advice on buying a lens. It would be better to go to a web site that actually does laboratory tests on them. Look beyond the Ken Rockwell links that come up in your Google search.

If Nikkor lenses were not excellent, then pros would not be putting them on their cameras. That’s the only thing I will say. The F/2 is faster, meaning that it will do slightly better in low light. It will also have a narrower depth of field wide open. If this is something that is key for you, get it. Otherwise, the F/2.8 will probably be less expensive and might have a slight, but hardly noticeable edge optically because it’s not pushing the envelope.
