Need advice on the choice of camera lens for Nikon D40?
Hello to all lovers of Yahoo! recently bought a Nikkor AF 28mm f/2.8 first angle range D lens for my D40. I wrongly assumed that this objective could cause distortion of the image perspective, but not, or only very slightly. I like the lens by its degrees of freedom and the results of color and keep it, but I am disappointed with it. Can you advise me on the wide angle lens best (first or zoom) will produce an optimal image distortion perspective of the majority of landscape, or architecture, cityscape etc, edge to edge results? I am fairly new to photography, and sad to say, I have gone the way of buying cheap "screw" Fisheye / wide angle lens which frankly are a waste of time and money, and I will not go down that road again! Well, since you are using a D40 you're not getting a true focal length of 28 mm as if you were using a full frame camera like the D700. If you bought your D40 with kit lens then you must already have a super wide zoom 18-55mm.
