What digital camera lens would be best to take photos of animals at the zoo about 50 + yards with shade
In Right now I'm using a 200mm Nikkor VR-18 and 7-300mm Nikkor VR zoom right in close-ups of animal faces in the zoo, which works very well until move or open his mouth, and blurred, and forget about making money weird! can tell me what should I upgrade to? I am using Nikon D80. is the next step of a 70-200mm 2.8 or 70-300mm 2.8? I'm assuming that these would be around 2k dollars? but how much would improve, just better lighting for shade? or finally be able to capture the movement of the teeth and mouth of the animal?
Here's something you can try before you buy another target: a) Increase the configuration ISO to 400 or 800 and will allow more light to the sensor and allows quicker shots b) Set the camera to shoot at shutter speeds at least 250 years of one second. This will help freeze the action in case of moving animals. Canon called TV not sure what Nikkon called c) Use a monopod or keep the camera in rails for more stability or if you have room (many not all), then setting up your tripod and shoot away I would suggest the 70-200 2.8 for the cost I do not know if Nikkon offers 70-300 in 2.8 (I use the Canon though). I assume your current target is 5.6 which means you get two full stops from 5.6 to 2.8 that allows two things: a quick shot) without having to raise the ISO too b) the larger opening allows you to "remove" the animals of the verification Background of the IPTC information in this picture to get an idea (shutter 1 / 250, Aperture 4.0, ISO 400, shot in Aperture Value with a monopod) http://www.flickr.com/photos/tmendoza/2011097211 /
