Can I use an AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55m in the body of a 35 mm lens? If so what?
I am looking for a 35mm SLR camera for a class but already has a kit for Nikon D40 digital SLR. it came with a 18-55mm AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor. Now I wonder if I can buy body only 35mm SLR and use of this lens.
I would not try to use your lens of 18-55, because you never know what's going to be in the picture because of the small image circle (aka vignetting) I want to buy a used Nikon manual focus with a mounting IA about 1977 off eBay, because: 1. The camera bodies are cheap. 2. AI cameras that time can not accept-AI, AI, AI-S and AF-D AF. 3. Only lenses that do not work are of type G and DX lenses 4. Lenses are cheap models are good Nikkormat cameras FT3, Nikon EL2, Nikon FM, faith Nikon, Nikon F2A, Nikon f2as, the only major disadvantage is the foam seals are old and sticky. So if you're going to use it for a long time will have to replace the foam. You can do this yourself if they are useful.
