Working Lens for Nikon D90 and FM10?
I want a 50mm lens that works for a Nikon D90 and the nikon fm10 I was thinking AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G. Does it work?
The Nikon FM10 manual camera is all it takes to control the opening of the lens itself, not the camera body. The AFS f/1.4G Nikkor 50mm not appear as a round aperture ring, therefore you have no way of controlling the opening. If you want a working target for D90 and the FM10, then consider the old AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D or 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Both lenses have an aperture ring, and is also compatible with autofocus when used with the D90.
