Is it part of the overall objective of a sensor APS-C?
Hi I have D3000 Nikon lens (APS-C format) and am having some questions (1) if I can attach a picture of nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor lens to it and goes to work (2) Even if it works so the difference in image quality and disadvantages the use of a full frame lens for DX format sensor (3) Should I go to this goal. (4) is the value (5) How to read the markings on the lens mentioned, even if I get the chance to use it please add links to external sites if possible. Please detailed and specific as I am making my decision based this. (Please, NO one liners) Thanks, SiD
1) Go to work, but no autofocus. Not because it is a full frame (FX) of the target, but because This particular lens has no auto focus motor in the lens and the camera (unlike, for example, the D90 or D7000) has no one in the body of the camera either. That is the case with all the AF – need AF-S for autofocus. For example, the AF-S 50mm/1.8G (compared with 50mm/1.8D AF) 2) There are no drawbacks. One could even argue that the FX lenses are superior to DX lenses, since they are designed for a bigger sensor, and thus a culture of its image sensor DX outside the sweet spot in the middle of the projected image. That's a rather academic point though. 3) No, spend a little more and get the AF-S 50mm/1.8G instead. Or 50mm/1.4G AF-S, but the price of a currently exorbitant due to the recent catastrophe in Japan. Both are good portrait and low light lenses. 4) Very good. 5) The 50mm/1.8G not have the same markings as the D version, so it's a topic that does not;) This article explains, if you are interested in it, though: http://www.fineart-photography.com/dofScale.html
