Nikon D60 "A" and "S" no longer work?
I've been using the D60 for about 2 years. I usually I have it configured in "A" so you can control the wheel opening. This has always been very important to me. But suddenly it stopped working. Only shows more open and not let me change it. The same happens if I try to "S" for shutter speed control or "M" for one or both. Can not be changed. I have 2 VR Nikkor AF-S 18-55, 55-200 AF-S and both have the same problem. Therefore, it should be the body or the software. The last thing I was doing was filming in the sun during the eclipse the other day. Does anyone know what happened? Thanks.
It seems as if the wheel is not functioning properly. Does not sound like a problem with the lens as is evident in both lenses and is specific or not opening shutter speed selection. Does the work of the wheel to change the menu settings or any other function that serves as a driver? As you said, the camera 2 years old and the wheel is one of the heavily used parts of it should not as a surprise. If this is the case, you must contact a repair shop or Nikon for a repair estimate. Try cleaning the gold contacts lens and body with a damp cloth in case.
