AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm VR II Nikon Lenas work D3000?

Hi I want to buy these http://www.nikon.ca/en/Product.aspx?m=14359&disp=Overview but i haven idea if it will work on my nikon d3000, because I realized that the 11-55 mm lens camera that is included withmy are 52mm Filter / attachment size and one is 58 so … I understand that the filter / attachment size means things that unite the lens and filters and stuff … Would it work on my D3000? thanks

Yes, of course it will work. That's why buying a SLR. It will also auto-focus camera
