Photography – housing advice please?

I'm a photographer with no experience teaching myself photography. I will be filming in a club dimly lit, poorly provided for centers with different colored gels. There will be much movement and action of individuals. I'm using a Nikon F3 HP, with the f-stop in 2.8, shutter speed 60, and I push the double ASA. I'm not using a monopod. Nikkor 50 mm with a filter cover is being used. Kodak film is VC 800 PORTRA best use, or Fujicolor Superia 1600? Please give me your reasons.

You can not specify the opening and the shutter speed until you know what lighting levels are going to get. If the development of the ISO rating twice set the meter to the new higher value and put your camera in aperture priority, with the goal wide. The camera will tell you the shutter speed to give a reasonable exposure. Then at least you know what stadium you is in a faster lens is useful in these circumstances and usually use my standard 50 mm f1.2, count each half stop. B & W film is much more tolerant of under / over exposure to the color. If you can approach and be prepared against something solid like a wall or in the same setting you can shoot 1/30th of a second or even slower with practice. Anticipating that the movement ends is also a useful skill in these circumstances. A guitar wielding his guitar side by side has a moment he is still at the end of the swing. Try to get the face, especially the eyes, the performer strong performer and without blemish, any peripheral movement can actually add to the image. Chris
