Should I buy a 105 mm or 60 mm Micro-Nikkor?
What are the benefits of a 105 mm over 60 mm? I found a used 105 during the same price a new 60. Will be used mostly in a studio for product shots of chips and circuits and sometimes for portraits.
If you mean Nikkor 60 macro lens … no comparison. With plans will certainly want that 60 of the 105, but for portraits you'll have to provide space for your model (Although the 60 will give you a better perspective and less distortion, since it is much closer to the ideal portrait lens 85mm). The 60 is sharp and strong adhesion and no can put in the same category as the 105 … are two different lenses with two different applications. Getting to 60 is 1:1 standard, firing circuit boards and microchips will require a ring flash anyway (or two external factors outside of a tupperware bowl … a flash of disseminating useful devices and repairable). Get if you do two things … you may win one for his fate. The 105 can not compete with 60 in macro more than 60 can compete in portrait applications. Note the speed of both … I'm sure the 60 is much faster ..
