Nikon DSLR Lens question …?
Well, I've been thinking about buying a Nikon D90 and would, of course, interested in taking some photos of good family and friends and that sort of thing and I know that to achieve a "standard" lens for … but my real passion and interest is to take detailed photos stuff … errors and / ants little things on paper or whatever … only very small, but I want the picture to be very detailed … what lens would be better? From what I read is called a macro lens … but what is a micro lens? which should I get? I have these two options as well and would like some input if you know: Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 EX DG telephoto lens SML Macro DF Autofocus give me your opinion … very grateful!
Nikon calls their macro lenses "micro" for reasons known only to them. The AF Micro-Nikkor 60 mm f2.8D is $ 469.95 at B & H. The AF-S Micro-Nikkor 60mm f2.8D is $ 539.95 at B & H. The AF-S Micro-Nikkor 105mm F2.8G IF-ED is $ 869.95 at B & H. http://www.bhphotovideo.com prefer the longer focal length of 105 mm, as it gives a better working distance of bees and butterflies and other scary items. The 60mm definitely do whatever I want.
