Nikon AF question?
If I manually focus my lens, just a little, with my camera and lens set to AF both, it will destroy the performance of the lens? Recently I did some portraits with my 55mm in the FA and adjusts the lens, by force of habit, to get a tight shot, resultingly, it seems my zoom lens will not autofocus. We may never zoom, to start (a new camera and lens, I'm still familiar with the features). How I can determine if I ruined the autofocus on my lens? Nikon autozoom even have anyway? Thaks a lot. (Specifications: D80, AF-s DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm) Thank you all.
That goal can not manual focus when set to auto focus. The final element will not rotate. The only way they have been rotated is if you are broke. Seriously, should not move at all. If both systems are in AUTO, click the shutter button 1 / 2 way, and if approached, nothing is wrong. However, you should not do that, the Nikkor lenses are not designed to work well, especially cheap plastic lens, such as 18-55mm lens. No, not autozoom! Must be extended manually, and all SLR lenses. Greetings
