should I buy the D90 camera kit from costco?

It comes with a 70-300mm VR Zoom-NIKKOR Lens and a 18-55mm VR Zoom-NIKKOR Lens
I don’t think I’ll be shooting many sports or any other fast things, more like everyday stuff and portraits so is this kit worth it?? or should I save myself a few bucks and buy it from best buy for $1050+tax with a 18-105mm f/3.5 – f/5.6 DX Nikkor lens
and also about the warranty, I know if I get it from best buy I can extend it for up to 4 years by paying like a bit over 100 bucks, but Costco only covers the manufacturer warranty and you can return it 90 days from purchase no questions asked.
I don’t know which to buy!!!
Everyday stuff and portraits… get the 18-105 kit. As to warranty… these cameras either die in the first few thousand shots or it’s user abuse or negligence that gets them.
