Nikon AF D5000?
I'm looking at getting a Nikon D5000 and was wondering if you work with autofocus lenses. Today I have a Nikon D40 and a Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8 lens, but autofocus will not work because of something in the d40. I was wondering if the autofocus would work with the D5000. Can you tell me what the camera Nikon least expensive new body is that auto focus lens?
No, the D5000 does not have the autofocus motor in the body. So I would have to manually focus the lens of 50 mm, as you do with the D40. You need AF-S or AF-I AF the D5000.
