Nikon lens question ….?
I'm considering buying a Nikon D40 or D60 camera and this lens comes with the camera (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens) is good lens to begin to use or should I buy another lens too. Thanks!
Buy the D60 with the VR version of the 18-55mm lens. The D60 is the replacement for the D40x, which has been discontinued. Buy a UV / Haze filter and a circular polarizer and have what you need for now. Do not waste your money on cheap flights, filters with no name. Buy quality, Tiffen, B + W, Heliopan, Hoya. I suggest you buy the filters in a "thin" or "thin" mounting to avoid possibility of bullets (dark corners in the photos) on the focal length of 18 mm.
